Starship Yoga honors the legacy of one of their most inspiring teachers, Larry Schultz. As a pioneer in the yoga community, Larry traveled to India to learn Ashtanga Yoga methods and eventually created his own unique approach to yoga through Starship Yoga. He modified postures, encouraged intention, and, verbal cues instead of traditional methods. Larry's teachings were introduced to many at 848 Folsom, where he encouraged students to make space for energy flow. His impact on the yoga world continues through the countless students and teachers who have been inspired by his legacy of creating a sense of community, having fun, and challenging oneself without taking oneself too seriously. As Larry famously said, "You're stronger than you think you are!"
